Catherine
Moubray
After training at the Courtauld Institute as a Fine
Art Photographer, and having gained a Diploma in General
Photography at Westminster College, I set up my business in
1985. Since then, I have accepted commissions for portraiture
at Buckingham Palace and weddings in America and Europe.

STYLE
My aim is to provide a natural and spontaneous record of the day with the
minimum amount of time spent on the more 'formal' shots, and to provide what I hope will be the
best results with as little disruption
as possible.
The group shots are, therefore, arranged carefully in advance with plans
to show where and when they will be taken. The majority of the pictures, however, will show a diary of
the day without having to 'pose' the event. I shall take many photographs of the guests and hope that few
will realise that they have been taken.
My objective is to see the day from as many different angles as possible,
to capture as much of what is going on and yet appear to be part of the proceedings.
Selecting a photographer for an occasion such as this is not easy because
different people have varying ideas of what they want.
RESULT
When you return from honeymoon, or shortly afterwards, we shall produce an
album containing
approximately a hundred enlarged (5" x 7" to 10" x 8") pictures and over a hundred and fifty 6" x 4" shots.
The larger sizes show the more 'specific' events, such as the bride before the ceremony (with her
bridesmaids, parents, etc.) her arrival and departure with the groom, photographs of the family, ushers and
cutting the cake. The smaller set will include
interiors, flowers, preparations, guests and speeches, dancing and other
highlights.
