Hampshire has a rich and vibrant history that has left a substantial legacy for visitors and residents to enjoy. An hour by road/rail from London, Heathrow or Gatwick, places you in the county’s centre. It is a county for all seasons, tastes and ages, where a rich tapestry of stunning scenery weaves a colourful backdrop to the wonderful array of attractions on offer. Other historic places including Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Oxford and Windsor are within an easy drive.

Hampshire’s famous royal and military connections have provided a great legacy of places to visit, including the world’s finest collection of historic ships, major stately homes and the beautiful New Forest – the old hunting ground of king’s – which is now a protected haven for wildlife. It also boasts Winchester, the ancient capital of England, which is world renowned for its splendid Norman Cathedral, King Arthur’s legendary round table and one of the oldest schools in Britain.
